CSF D-16
The D-16 is a French infrared image converter tube made by CSF (Compagnie générale de télégraphie sans fil) in the 1960's and used in devices such as the AMX-30 B-17-A fire periscope. These tubes was mainly used by the French army but were also available for external military contracts.
A later version of the tube called 6914/D16 was made in the early 70's by the same compagnie who became Thomson-CSF , the main difference with the early model being a upgrade in resolution from 25 line per milimeters to 40.
These tubes are scarce due to the destruction of materials by the army after retirement from service.
