CSF D-16

The D-16 is a French first generation image intensifier tube made by CSF (Compagnie générale de télégraphie sans fil) in the 1960's and used in devices such as the AMX-30 B-17-A fire periscope. These tubes was mainly used by the French army but were also available for external military contracts. These tubes are scarce due to the destruction of materials by the army after retirement from service.
