Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR)

Signal-to-noise Ratio it the ratio between the actual image (signal) and noise like scintillation.

Typical Ratios are:

  • Gen 0 & 1: over 40
  • Gen 2 (depending on time of manufacture): 10-25
  • Gen 3: 15-35

A bad SNR, compared to other the datasheet or the general specifications, can be one sign of a Tube that at its end of life.
