Notes

The D51 uses XX1411 43mm inverting image intensifiers with plate contacts.

The objective lens, image intensifier and eyepiece are combined into two separate pods which are then enclosed in an outer plastic body. The position of the pods inside the body can be adjusted by releasing a locking lever on the underside of the unit, pushing the pods into the correct position, then applying the lever.

It is supplied in a metal case which contains a carrying bag, the device, head strap, spare parts and documentation.

Aviation version BM8028A

In addition to the standard configuration, there exists a version intended for aircraft use. The outer plastic shell has been redacted and the power source moved to a separate battery pack.
