The ,as of writing, current version MK2 imprióved further the stiffness and introduced 2 sling loops. Also its the 1st generation which is able to collimate via tilting the Eyepiece and has the option of using a brass thread insert for mounting a J arm. It's also the Version the current 3rd Binocular housing design is based on.

LNVG-M MK2 mounted on helmet

The LNVG (Light Night Vision Gear) is a modular NVG series designed by Radio Active. The goal was to make NVG more accessible and affordable.

Theres is currently a Series of monoculars and a binocular (as LNVG-B) aviable.

The LNVG-M MK2 monocular has been published on thingiverse and the manual/ build instructions on google docs.

History

MK0 was a proof of concept and the lightest of all versions. It used, like all versions, C-mount lenses as an objective, but they were fixed with a 3D printed thread which proved hard to print right.

LNVG-M MK0

The next iteration the MK1 replaced the 3D printed C-count thread with an Aluminum insert, improved the stiffness and was the basis for the 1st Binocular versions. The capability to purge the housing was also intoduced.

LNVG-M MK1

The ,as of writing, current version MK2 imprióved further the stiffness and introduced 2 sling loops. Also its the 1st generation which is able to collimate via tilting the Eyepiece and has the option of using a brass thread insert for mounting a J arm. It's also the Version the current 3rd Binocular housing design is based on.

LNVG-M MK2
