MONIE is a night vision monocular designed by Thales. It's unique features are a wide field of view of 51° and short overall length due to a folded optical design.[1]

Technical Data[edit | edit source]

The Monie comes typically with a Gen2+ Photonis XD4 or Photonis XR5 MX-10130 format tube. It is powered by a single AA battery 1,5V | 3,6V or 1.2V rechargeable battery and offers 45 hours operation time at 20°C. The housing features an IR LED illuminator and an auto-shutoff sensor, that will turn off the device after 30 seconds if the environmental lights are brighter than 10lux. Dioptric adjustment goes from -6 to +3.
