A MUM-14 next to a CR123A battery. The objective side is facing the camera.

The MUM-14, also referred to as MiNi-14, standing for Multi-Use Mini Monocular is one of the smallest housings developed and designed by Insight Technology which was acquired by L3 Technologies in 2010. Commercial and Law Enforcement Sales effort has partnered with Nivisys Industries to bring to market versatile night vision monoculars. Nowadays the MUM-14/Mini-14 are manufactured by Nivisys, LLV. It is compatible to MX-10160 format image intensifier tubes.

It is smaller and lighter than the AN/PVS-14, yet features a comparable optical performance and may even exceed it.

Two monocular devices can be combined into a binocular system using a mounting bridge, and while giving the ability to see stereoscopically, it is heavier than dedicated binocular systems, and cannot be collimated.

Extremely lightweight at ~280g (including the CR123A battery) and versatile, the MUM-14 can be hand-held, head-mounted, helmet-mounted, camera/camcorder adapted or weapons mounted as a night scope.

IEA Mil-Optics GmbH rebranded it as Night-Tronic NT940.
